Albany -- The Albany Firefighter, who held Police at bay last Friday, remains on the City Payroll.

38 year old Reggie Collier is at Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville for psychological evaluation. But as far as the city is concerned, he remains on medical leave. Collier is being paid through the sick leave transfer program. Other city workers donated their sick leave to Collier.

Friday Collier fired several shots out the window of his apartment on West Gordon Avenue.

Flash grenades thrown by S.W.A.T. officers set his apartment on fire, as Collier was taken into custody.
