Albany- There's a new weapon for investigators to track down and put away Internet predators. Tuesday, the governor signed a law to help law enforcers find an impostor posing as another child online. Until now, there were road blocks that kept them from quickly learning someone's true online identity.

"If we can't identify who did it, we can't do anything about it. This will help us put our hands on them so we can put them in the defendant's chair and hopefully put them in jail," said Ken Hodges, Dougherty District Attorney.

Sexual predators often contact children through Internet chat rooms, instant messages, and e-mail. The Journal of the American Medical Association says one in five children has been solicited online.
