Thomasville- Kent Flounory is out of jail on bond on a child molestation charge.
Thomas County investigators say he had sex with a 13 year old girl in Morningside Baptist Church. She originally reported the crime as a rape. But investigators say that after in-depth interviews, she admitted the sex was consensual. "The girl being so young as 13, we want to make sure that we don't have any predators out there that may drag in the younger kids," says Thomas County Sheriff's Office interim investigations commander Pascal Autry.
Because of the victim's age, investigators charged 37 year old Flounory with child molestation. If convicted, he could face 20 years behind bars.
