Adel - The accident happened around 6:00 Tuesday night at Sanderson Farms feed mill. One man was killed and another seriously injured.

Construction workers were erecting a cement wall onto a receiving station when the wall collapsed and fell onto two men. One was crushed under the wall, the other was partially trapped.

Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the wall to collapse. "The Adel Police and Cook County Sheriff's office are doing a preliminary investigation, and OSHA has been called into take over what needs to be done," said Adel Police Chief Bill Butler.

The men were employees of a sub-contracting company that is getting the feed mill ready for operation. Authorities have not released their names.
