Albany - The water contamination is a result of poor waste management more than 20 years ago. There are two main areas that concern the environmental protection agency, but MCLB Environmental Director Dan Gillum says the water causing concern is not used for drinking.

He says, "This is water that is down between the 75 to 150 feet deep area and on base, we get all our drinking water from 500 to 100 feet deep."

Base representatives and Environmental protection agency officials will answer questions about the water contamination during a meeting at the Public health department from 7-9 PM Tuesday.
