Albany - Albany Police are searching for a man who shot two teenagers with a BB gun. The shootings happened April 5, 2005.
16 year-old Jay Funderburk was driving down Nottingham Way when a BB ricocheted off his side mirror and hit him in the head. A few minutes later, two teen-aged boys were riding bikes on Nottingham Way when a man in a car pulled up next to them, pulled out a BB gun and shot at them several times. One boy was hit in the leg.
Both teens are o-kay, but police say the shooter is dangerous. "Like any gun, BB guns can put out an eye or lead to something worse. For instance, if one of the two young men on the bikes had fallen into the path of a vehicle, he could have be run over. We definitely need to find this gentleman," said Lt. Tracey Barnes, APD.
Police are looking for a white male in his early twenties with dark hair, driving a maroon car with a white bumper. If you know any information, call Albany Police.
