Bainbridge- Six special education students from Potter Street Elementary School went on a fishing trip this morning.

It was a reward for their participation in the school's recycling program. Teacher Julie Ware says it's important for these type of students to have as much stimulating learning as possible. "We go out into the community and work with the kids doing different activities. And this is one of our activities. We're bringing nature into the classroom as well as giving them hands-on activities," she says.

The trip wasn't all play and no work. The students had several lessons before heading-out to the pond. They'll also have to clean the fish before cooking them for lunch!
