    The city has settled a lawsuit over more than $2 million in unpaid federal loans owed by the owners of Albany Heights.

Albany-- Students at Jackson Heights Elementary school got to be first in the state Thursday to hear the Georgia Department of Transportations new "Bike Sense" program.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is publishing a new bike manual "Bike Sense" in an effort to help both cyclists and motorists safely share our roads.

"We are here to be able to help our children who ride bicycles in Georgia understand that it is the law for them to wear helmets, that they should have lights on the front of their bicylces as well as red reflectors in the rear of their bicycle. Visibility is one thing we need to increase," said Elaine Armster with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
