Thomasville- The March of Dimes is asking people in Thomasville to support their "Walk America" event.

It raises money to help prevent premature births. This year, organizers chose a local family who had premature triplets to represent them. Everyone is invited to participate in the walk, including pets. Organizers says many people may have been affected by the March of Dimes without even realizing it. "If you took the polio vaccine many years ago, you were touched by the March of Dimes. So the research continues on it today. And we need help with the funding," says organizer Debbie Palmer.

The walk will be held at Thomas University on May seventh. Registration is at 8:00 a.m. If you'd like to sign up or get a donor sheet, call (229) 227-9885.
