Cause of train derailment found

Thomasville- The CSX company is finished investigating a train derailment that happened on February ninth behind the Balfour Lumber Company in Thomasville.

Ten CSX freight train cars overturned and piled on top of each other. Nobody was hurt. CSX says its operating rules were not followed and that driver error is to blame. The train's conductor switched cars on a track that was not long enough.

CSX will not comment on whether the conductor is still employed there, or if he has been punished. But a spokeswoman says the company is reassessing its rules and policies.
