Plains--A Dougherty County Paramedic recieves two awards for making a split second decision that saved the lives of two fishermen last December.
Dougherty Paramedic Morgan Garcia was the recipient of both the EMT of the Year award for the 21-County Southwest Georgia area and the Medal of Honor at Thursday nights awards banquet. Garcia rescued two men from an ice cold lake, where their boat had capsized.
Garcia says he lives for the excitement and reward his job has to offer.
