Albany- St. Teresa's Catholic Church held a special prayer service for all faiths and denominations.
Attendees prayed and sang songs at the service. Church youth ministry coordinator John Johnson says that the Pope's passing is also affecting young ones as well.
"Pope John Paul was one of those that really reached out to our youth. He really wanted them to feel like part of the church and it was really just a magnetism the man had and the youth just followed him," says Johnson.
Johnson says he was amazed at how many youth he saw come out to St. Peter's Square. He hopes the next Pope will have such an effect and reach out to both children and adults.
