Albany-- The South Georgia Wildcats trimming down their roster to the league mandated 21 players Tuesday. Among those not making the cut, former University of Georgia wide receiver Damien Gary.
Gary, a three year letter winner for the Bulldogs, was one of the big name players the Wildcats signed after their first tryout in December.
The Athens native finished his career at Georgia second on the all time SEC list in average punt return yards and tops in Georgia history in punt return yards with 1 thousand 219 and career punt returns with 110.
Among the 21 to make the Wildcats roster today were Albany natives Antwone Savage and Adrian Cockfield.
