Valdosta - The State School Superintendent is taking a look at education in South Georgia.
Kathy Cox's border tour stopped in Lowndes County Wednesday. She's visiting schools along Georgia's borders to make sure their voice is included at the state capital.
Cox says she's impressed with the quality of education this area is providing, and she'll continue working to make sure we get the funding needed for educational improvements. "I think there's a quality school system here that's supported by the community and the university and its a winning combination for these kids," said Cox.
Cox visited Lowndes County and Valdosta City schools Wednesday.
