Thomasville meth lab catches fire

Thomasville- Four people have been arrested in connection with a meth lab bust in Thomasville.

Thomas County Drug agents originally went to the suspects' mobile home for a chat about their meth usage. But when they went inside, they could smell the odor of the drug cooking. Agents say that's when they discovered chemicals burning on a hot-plate. "We went back there to look at it. And when one of the agents opened the door, smoke came out at him. He immediately shut the door and came running down the hallway," says Agent Kevin Lee.

Fortunately, none of the agents were hurt. The people in the mobile home were charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of ephedrine, and cruelty to children. A second lab also was found.
