Valdosta - It may have been a little too cool to go swimming Friday, but a South Georgia amusement park is still getting ready for summer.
Splash Island Water Park is now open at Wild Adventures. The park added several new attractions such as the tryphoon triple body slide and tadpole cove for smaller children to enjoy.
"We added these new rides to Splash Island to give it more of a family atmosphere, where everyone can have something to do," said Annie Lowe.
As part of Splash Island's re-opening, the park gave away several free annual passes.
