Tifton-- Tift County head basketball coach Robert Moore is stepping down after two seasons at the helm of the Blue Devil program. Moore turned in his resignation Tuesday to accept the same position at Brookstone in Columbus.

|In his two years at Tift County, Robert Moore led the Blue Devils to a 47 and 12 mark, back to back region titles, and a state runner up finish in 2004.

Moore's departure to Brookstone is a homecoming of sorts, he served as an assistant coach at Columbus State for six years. Prior to heading up the Blue Devil program, Moore served as the head coach at ABAC for three years.

This past season Moore helped lead the Blue Devils to the Elite 8 before losing to Stephenson. "Although I will miss the Tift County program, this was an opportunity I could not pass up," Moore said.
