Dawson - It's election day for some South Georgia cities. In Dawson, some voters went back to the polls for a re-vote in a city council race.

Dawson Ward One Council member Gail Rakel lost the November election to Willie Lou Williams 77 to 76. The court ordered a re-vote because some people voted in the wrong ward.

By lunch Tuesday, about 30 people had voted and another 80 had turned in absentee ballots.

Rakel claims some people who don't live in the Ward were allowed to vote, but she wants to wait to see the outcome of the election before launching an official complaint. Despite Rakel's complaints, the election supervisor reports no major problems at the polls today.
