Voters decide on penny tax

Fitzgerald- If voters say yes to another Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, the Ben Hill County sales tax will remain at 7% until 2011.

It's expected to bring in more than $15.5 million and will be split evenly between the city and county.

There were 147 absentee and advance voters, and elections officials are expecting at least 10% turnout at the polls Tuesday.
