Thomasville- A Chevrolet pick-up truck overturned on Lower Cairo Road around 4:30 this morning.

The driver, 38-year old Charles Jones, entered a curve too fast, then lost control. Troopers say he was not wearing his seatbelt. "We checked the seatbelt. If the seatbelt was on, it would have been locked in that position, you see. But it wasn't in that position to be locked, so he didn't have it on," says Senior Trooper Sibley Matchett.

Jones was the only person involved in the accident. Investigators say they aren't sure how long he was pinned under the truck before passing away.

This incident marks the fifth fatal car accident in Thomas County in 15 days.
