Thomasville SPLOST vote Tuesday

Thomasville- A Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax that's being voted on Tuesday would pay for a new Thomas County Courthouse.

     The SPLOST would also pay for renovating the existing courthouse. If approved, it would raise 21 million dollars over four years, starting on July 1st. A new courthouse would cost 12 million dollars. And the renovation of the existing courthouse would cost 4 million dollars.

     The rest of the money would go into a contingency fund for professional fees, landscaping, and furnishings.
