Albany- S-A-T's were held Saturday at many schools and many students geared up to take the test. This year's version is changed to include an essay and more emphasis on grammar and advanced math.
Albany High student Roxanna Gabaldon took the old test twice but took the new one today just to see how she fared.
"I think it's a good test because it'll help students deal with writing essays to go to college. They have to take it because they have to get into college so I do recommend they take it but I like the old SAT better," says Gabaldon.
The revamped test now has a perfect score of 2400 as opposed to 1600. This is the first change to the college-entrance exam since 1994.
