Valdosta - There is a statewide lookout for the shooter. Troopers around Georgia are on alert for the Green Honda Brian Nichols stole.

With word that Nichols may be headed to Florida, troopers have increased patrols along I-75. In Lowndes County, troopers are paying close attention to all vehicles.

"We try to keep our eyes open as much as we can for the suspect of the suspect vehicle they're looking for," said Trooper Ed Shiver.

Members of Lowndes County's Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team are also guarding I-75. They have not increased patrols yet, but say they will is there's reason to believe Nichols is in South Georgia.
