Albany- An city bail bondsman is suing the Dougherty County Sheriff claiming the sheriff is violating his civil rights.
Glenn Holmes owns Nationwide Bail Bonds. He says Sheriff Jamil Saba refuses to let him write bonds for people who live in Dougherty County though the sheriff does allow him to write bonds for non-county residents.
Holmes claims the problem costs him about $100,000 a year. The sheriff can choose which bondsmen to work with. The suit claims it's unfair to okay Holmes for some work, but restrict other business.
