Valdosta - Police are looking for a man who broke into a Valdosta home Tuesday night and assaulted one of the residents.
Around 11:30, a woman who lived in a home on Breckinridge Drive went downstairs to get something and found a man inside her home. He pushed the woman down and hit her in the head several times with an unknown object.
The woman was able to get away. The suspect got away with several bottles of prescription drugs. "It looks like he took some medication from the home, possible Loritab," said Lt. Bernard Robinson.
The woman received minor injuries but is doing fine.
The suspect is described as a black man about 6 feet tall.
