Valdosta - Some South Georgians spent the afternoon in handcuffs for a good cause.

Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority held its annual lock up at Valdosta State University Tuesday.

Twenty-five people from different organizations around town were taken into custody and held until they collected enough money to bail themselves out.

"They have cell phones and they'll have to use those to call all their friends and try to raise $100.00 to bail out of jail," said Ashley Watkins, Organizer.

Alpha Gamma Delta hopes to raise $3,000 in this year's lock up. The money will be used for member grants and scholarships. The sorority will also give some of the money to the diabetes education and research foundation.
