Worth County- Over 200 kids from ten different schools competed Saturday for the title of Southwest Georgia's best drill team.

Worth County High School R-O-T-C hosted the regional drill team and color guard competition and all the hours of practice and preparation were displayed on the field. Leaders say ROTC prepares them for college and future careers.

"They're very important to the jrotc because we get out and show the community how well disciplined our young people are. young people learn teamwork discipline, all the things that are important life skills to teach young people," says Major Russ Beard.

Saturday's competition will determine who heads to Macon for the state competition later this month.
