Thomasville- Thomasville Police Officer Rachelle Denmark says it's too early to tell exactly what happened in a serious accident on the west bypass Friday afternoon.
But she says it looks like one car crossed the center median, colliding head-on with another vehicle. A third car then ran into the others.
The road was shut down in both directions, and firefighters had to use the jaws of life on at least one of the cars. Several people were taken to the hospital. It's unknown at this point how serious their injuries are.
