Cairo- A tribunal board made the decision yesterday evening to expel five more Shiver Elementary school students for drinking on campus.

The eighth graders are accused of drinking the alcohol around February first. Shiver principal Margie Jordan says two other students brought the matter to her attention. She stresses the expelled students did not actually get drunk. "A small amount of alcohol, I would compare the bottle, although I did not see it, this is what the students described it as being as a small airplane sized alcohol bottle," says Jordan.

Jordan says the students only took a swallow each. Tuesday, four other eighth graders at Shiver were expelled for drinking alcohol on campus in a separate incident.
