Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
Cairo- Officials say four eighth-graders at Shiver Elementary School were caught drinking on campus earlier this month.
A tribunal board followed county policy by recommending expulsion after the students served a 10 day suspension.
Earlier this week, a hearing officer ordered 12 students from Cairo High School to attend alternative classes for the rest of the year. They were caught with alcohol on a Beta Club trip in Atlanta.
