Tifton- The YMCA kicked off its annual "I'm a Believer" campaign.

The organization is trying to raise $20,000 for a financial assistance program. It allows families who can't afford a membership to participate in programs at a reduced rate.

"Without that you've got families that can't put their kids in summer camp or some kind of daycare program which limits them on their abilities to either go back to school or to have a job," says CEO Kevin Angell.

"Part of what we're about is bringing the community together in Tifton, Tift County and the surrounding counties," adds chief volunteer officer Dallas Hunt.

The "I'm a Believer" campaign began this week and will run until the end of April.
