Lanier County - An accident involving a tractor trailer causes quite a mess and stops traffic on a South Georgia highway.
A tractor trailer overturned while pulling a back hoe down Highway 122 in Lanier County Wednesday morning. The driver says the brakes locked up and she lost control of the truck.
"It looks like it was mechanical failure on the vehicle that caused the accident. Fortunately, the driver wasn't injured and was able to crawl out of the truck," said Trooper Anthony Heath.
The wreckage blocked traffic in both lanes of the highway. It took about 2 hours to clean up the mess and reopen both lanes of Highway 122.
