Chehaw Park- Medieval warriors dressed in armor to do battle in Chehaw Park. Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism traveled back in time to recreate how it might have been to live pre seventeenth century. Fighters dress in full armor to do battle.

The events are not choreographed and the weapons are made of rattan or bamboo. These fighters have been well trained before stepping on the battlefield.

"The training course is basically, safe use of the weapons, safe use of being hit, proper armor so you are properly protected," said Bill Lamp, Shire of Ravenwood.

The group known as the Shire of Ravenwood, is just one group in over a 100 in the United States that is dedicated to informing people about the middle ages.
