Thomasville- Today at the local food bank, a plaque was dedicated in the Rotary Club's honor.
Members have been instrumental in providing winter coats and blankets for the food bank's clients. But local club president Frances Parker says the group's goals also stretch outside the walls of the food bank. "It's just hopefully serving our community, which is the motto of the Rotary Club, service above self," she says.
The plaque formally names the clothing section of the food bank the "Rotary Closet." Rotarians have provided the bank with more than 200 coats per year.
