Americus - An Americus man was killed after losing control of his car and slamming into a tree. 23 year-old Johntavious Antoine Dawson was driving on Georgia 195 Monday morning. He over-negotiated a curve, ran off the road, and hit a ditch. His car rolled over and hit a tree. Dawson died instantly.
