Albany- More than 200 riders participated in today's Poker Run to help the Albany Humane Society.

The 25 mile course made five stops, the last stop, a party and chance to check their cards. Drivers paid an entry fee, but many also brought bags of change as a donation.

It's one of the biggest events for the Humane Society's Pennies for Puppies campaign and motorcycle enthusiasts say they enjoy helping a worthy cause.

"We will probably raise two to three thousand dollars today, with their help and this is the third year in a row that they helped us," said Donna Strickland of the Albany Humane Society.

"People at the Albany Humane Society do a great job with the pets, with keeping stray animals off the streets, and finding pets for people who love animals," said Alan Cotton, Whiskey Barrel Saloon.

The Pennies for Puppies campaign at the Humane Society runs through the end of the month.
