Americus- Students from Eufaula, Alabama, Crisp County, Brooks County, and Monroe High Schools competed in the first Business Bowl Friday.
Students at Georgia Southwestern University developed and hosted the event. The four teams answered questions about everything from accounting to marketing.
Eufaula high school won. Monroe came in second.
"I want to congratulate all of the teams that came, and I thank them and it just was awesome," says Business Bowl Coordinator Denata Williams.
"This shows you the strength of a Monroe High School education and how far it can take you. It's just one of the things that will help put Monroe on the map, and show how talented and how great some of our students really are," says William Webb, one member of the Monroe team.
Georgia Southwestern plans to make this Business Bowl an annual event.
