Pearson - A South Georgia man says he won a million dollars in the Georgia lottery.

A copy of the winning ticket is up on display at the Petro Stop and Shop station in Pearson. Store owners say Darell Moore of Pearson bought the $10 scratch off ticket in the "100 million Cash Spectacular" game Thursday and won a million dollars.

Friday, the store was packed with people hoping to strike it rich. "Everybody's coming in and out of the store since then, trying to win a million dollars," said Derek Coleman.

Representatives from the Georgia Lottery can't verify that Moore is a winner until he submits his ticket. Friends of Moore say he's on his way to Atlanta to claim his winnings.
