Local students are turned into professional artists

Albany- Some young Albany students are now professional artists.

Lincoln Elementary art students auctioned off their self-portraits and other drawings. Students will receive some of the proceeds, while part of the money will be donated to charitable organizations.

"Some of the money will go towards Habitat for Humanity, also to help pay for additional work books and things that the school uses," said Rusty Davidson, PTO Co-President.

Many classes also put together baskets for tonight's silent auction. It's an annual event for students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
