Teach teen drivers what to do in traffic stops

February 15, 2005

Lee County -- Many parents of teen drivers may want to take time to teach their children what to do if they're pulled over by Police.

Butch Watts teaches Drivers Education at Lee County High School. Part of his curriculum is about what to do if Police stop you.

He tells his students to follow instructions, and that it's never a joke. Watts said "To follow their instructions to a tee, because they not there to hurt them."

Watts said he hopes this week's shooting of Wesley Beaver will not cause students to distrust Police.
