Accused child rapist indicted

February 15, 2005

Thomasville- Howard Willis is accused of attacking and raping his stepdaughter while she was taking a shower.

The Department of Children and Family Services investigated, then turned their report over to Thomasville Police. Thomasville Police Sergeant Rachelle Denmark says if convicted, it's important to keep people like Willis off the streets. "Georgia has a good law in place that could keep him away for a while and protect our children from a predator such as this," says Denmark.

Willis is charged with two counts each of rape, statutory rape, aggravated child molestation, and incest. If convicted he could face up to life in prison.
