Thomasville- Eric Moore Junior fled from deputies when he was stopped at a driver's license checkpoint Friday afternoon, even hitting a patrol car.

Deputies gave chase for about seven minutes. That's when a Georgia State Trooper joined in. "A trooper used a certain maneuver to make the suspect's vehicle go into the ditch. And at that point the pursuit stopped," says Thomas County / Thomasville Narcotics and Vice Agent Kevin Lee.

Moore then ran on foot, but he was caught shortly afterwards at a local business. Deputies also found crack on him. He is charged with possession of cocaine, felony attempt to elude a police officer, aggravated assault on a police officer, obstruction by fleeing on foot, and numerous traffic offenses.
