Local Danceline helps the less fortunate

Albany- Albany State's Golden Passionettes are looking for a few good dancers and they're trying to help the community as they do it.

Thursday, students could buy a ticket to watch the dance team's tryouts. They got in cheaper if they brought a non-perishable item to donate to Tsunami relief. Since The Red Cross is only accepting money, the goods will be used locally.

"They referred us to a local pantry, that we're going to be donating the items to, so it will still go to a worthy cause," said Melanie Taylor, Passionette.

The Passionettes received hundreds of donations over the last two weeks.
