Albany - Albany Police are searching for a man they want to question about an murder. Raymond Hawkins was found shot to death behind his house on West Whitney Friday morning. Police believe 50 year-old Maurice Smith has information about the murder.

"He's known to go over to the house and he knows the family, so we would like to talk to him," said Lt. Tracy Barnes, APD.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Smith should contact Albany police at (229) 431-3288.

Hawkins was in his early 50's, and worked in maintenance at Coats and Clark for more than 25 years.
