Thomasville- Not only did staffers wear red today, they also distributed "red dress" pins and sold t-shirts advertising awareness.
Those items help the volunteers call attention to heart disease, both in the hospital and on the streets. "It makes a difference because when you go out into the community and you see a lot of people wearing these little red dresses, or red, it gets your curiosity up. Why are you wearing this? That gives us the opportunity to actually teach that person about heart disease in women.", says RN Gwinette Alligood, Supervisor of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
All of the proceeds raised from the pins and T-shirts will be donated to the American Heart Association.
