Valdosta - South Georgia soldiers may be miles from home training for war, but their families are making sure they enjoy the Super Bowl, too.

Family support Groups with the 48th Brigade's Second Battalion loaded up vans with cokes, snacks, and other party favors Friday. They'll be sent to Ft. Stewart this weekend so the soldiers can have a Super Bowl party.

"We want to make sure we give these guys something to remember when they leave, to let them know we care about them and we're behind them 100 percent," said Staff Sergeant Bobby Tippins.

Second battalion groups are headquartered in Valdosta, Tifton, Albany, and Cordele.
