Albany-- The Albany Fire Department is investigating two suspicious fires over the weekend. Firefighters went to Cecile Murray's boarding house at 429 West Tift twice, where they found four separate fires.

Saturday morning about 7:30 firefighters found where fires had broken out in one bedroom and in a hall. A sprinkler system in the home put out those fires.

Sunday morning about 8:00 firefighters were called back to the same home where they found clothes smoldering under the stairs, and papers on fire in a bedroom. Again the sprinkler system put out the fires. Investigators term the fires suspicious.

Investigators are also looking into the cause of a fire which destroyed the house at 913 Whitney. The fire started in the back room at about 4:00 AM Saturday.

Investigators say the fire started after a reported domestic dispute involving the occupant, Barry Zachary. The damage is estimated at $25,000.
