Lowndes County- Twenty year olds James Skinner and Joshua Sperring both of Live Oak, Florida were headed west on McMillin Road around 2:30 Sunday morning.

Troopers say Skinner, the driver, lost control of his pick-up truck, ran off the north shoulder, struck a culvert, and overturned.

Sperring was ejected from the truck and died instantly. Skinner was injured and transported to South Georgia Medical Center. He has since been treated and released.

Troopers say the wreck was not weather-related, and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
