< STRONG> Lee County- Cars zoom by so fast at the Intersection of U.S. 19 and Century Road in Lee County, drivers probably don't even notice a road side memorial in remembrance of 14 year old Jake Wills. "It's just a bad intersection," explains Major David Carmichael of the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

Wills, an eighth grader at Lee County middle school was killed when he and a group of friends tried to cross the highway after leaving the Citgo station on U.S. 19. John House agrees there needs to be something to slow people down. "I've been here a long time and it's a tough intersection to get across."

Today, A new caution light placed in the middle of the dangerous intersection was dedicated in hopes that no one else would lose their life where Wills lost his.

House explained "It's a blind shot coming that way and if you're on the other side of Peachtree it's blind coming that way and if you're going straight across, it's real tough," It's tough for many people who've had accidents at this very spot. "We've had wrecks, some very bad ones," said CarMichael

For someone who could be killed in the blink of an eye, their life may be spared due to this new blinking light.

The driver that hit and killed Jake Wills was dropped of any charges.
