"High priority" suspect off the streets

January 21, 2005

Thomasville- Thomasville Police say Torianto Reed forced his way into a man's home in Thomasville last month with a shotgun and robbed him. Reed is also being questioned by Cairo Police about a similar crime there.

That's not all. Thomasville Police found drugs when they arrested Reed last night at Archbold Hospital where he was being treated for a head injury sustained in the Cairo case. "When the detectives arrested him as soon as he was released, he was searched prior to transport to the jail. And it was found in his possession two bags of crack cocaine.", says Thomasville Police Captain Troy Rich.

Reed is charged with armed robbery, burglary, possession of a firearm during a crime, and possession of cocaine.
